12 Days Migration Tracker (Kenya to Tanzania)

Day 1: Arrival - Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO)

Accommodation: Eka Hotel

Met upon your arrival in NBO; and transfer to Hotel in Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi - Masai Mara

Estimated driving distance: 6hrs drive
Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Mara Leisure Camp, B,L,D

After breakfast, we drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s most spectacular wildlife sanctuary. Game drive in Mara.

Day 3 - 4: Masai Mara

Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Mara Leisure Camp, B,L,D

More game drives in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary with optional visit to a Maasai village ($60/vehicle),and opportunities to see herds of elephant, impala, buffalo, giraffe, as well as leopard, cheetah, and lion.

Day 5: Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park (North)

Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Serengeti North Wilderness Camp B,L,D

Today we leave masai mara with lunch boxes for Serengeti crossing the sirari border (we recommend to have Tanzania visa before arrival in Africa). Change of drivers and vehicles at the border; proceed to Serengeti, game drive in Serengeti (if time permits).

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Serengeti North Wilderness Camp B,L,D

More game drives in North Serengeti, including Mara River in search of the great migration.

Day 7 - 8: Serengeti National Park

Estimated driving distance: 3hrs drive
Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Serengeti Medium Camp, B,L,D

More game drives in Serengeti; this time in central Serengeti, in search of large predators and the gentle herbivores on which they feed.

Day 9: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Estimated driving distance: 3hrs drive
Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Ngorongoro Farm House, B,L,D.

After breakfast, we will have another game drive in Serengeti, then drive to overnight in Ngorongoro with optional ($60/vehicle) visit of Masai Village, and optional ($20/person) visit to Olduvai Gorge.

Day 10: Ngorongoro - Tarangire National Park

Estimated driving distance: 2.5hrs drive
Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Ol-Tulkai Tented Camp, B,L,D.

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for game drives, exploring the short-grass plains of the Crater floor, this extinct volcano embraces 100 square miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Later in the day, we will drive to overnight in Tarangire.

Day 11: Tarangire National Park

Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Ol-Tulkai Tented Camp, B,L,D

Today you’ll spend a full day of game drives in Tarangire.

Day 12: Lake Manyara - Arusha - Departure

Estimated driving distance: 2.5hrs to Arusha, plus 45 min. to JRO
Activities: Game drives
Meals: B,L

Game drives in Tarangire, the park is famous for its large herds of elephants. Later you’ll be transferred to Arusha and catch your flight to Zanzibar.
