4 Days Flight into Serengeti

Day 1 - Arusha - Serengeti

Activities: Game drives
Accommodation & Meals: Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp B, L, D

Today we will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to the Arusha airport for your flight to Serengeti, Met upon arrival and proceed for a full day game drive in Serengeti. The Park contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale, which has no parallel anywhere in the world. There is abundance of herbivores. Serengeti is also famous for lions and contains a wide variety of birdlife, believed to be in the region of 350 species, and with good chances also of seeing the predators at work. Lunch at the lodge or as a picnic lunch while on game drive

Day 2 - Serengeti

Accommodation & Meals: Ngorongoro Ang’ata Camp B, L, D

After breakfast, we leave for more game drive in central Serengeti in search for large predators and the gentle herbivores on which they feed in the rolling plains of Serengeti savannah. The Park contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale, which has no parallel anywhere in the world. There is abundance of herbivores. Serengeti is also famous for lions and contains a wide variety of birdlife, and with good chances also of seeing the predators at work. Then later in the day leave and drive to the lodge at Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight with optional ($60/vehicle) visit of Maasai Village, and optional ($36/person) visit to Olduvai Gorge. Lunch at the lodge or as a picnic lunch while on game drive.

Day 3 - Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara

After breakfast early in the morning, leave Serengeti with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro; descend into the Crater exploring the short grass plains of the largest intact caldera in the world. The crater enjoys its enduring charm stems from the overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lions, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many games, then later in the late afternoon leave the crater and drive to Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Lake Manyara

After breakfast, we leave with packed lunch and go for a game drive in Lake Manyara; The Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos and colorful birds, Alternative (instead of game drive safari in Manyara): After breakfast, we drive to nearby Mto wa Mbu area (4+ miles from Manyara Park’s gate) to do an approximately two hour cultural tour which will include visiting banana or rice plantations as well as a walking safari with traditional healers who will explain the medicinal values of the indigenous plants. We will leave in the afternoon and drive back to Arusha.
