You will be met upon your arrival in JRO; and transfer to Hotel in Arusha. .
Today, we drive to Arusha National Park with picnic lunch, the park is famous for its birdlife, we will have a game drive, and hiking in the park enabling us to get used to Tanzania climate and get over jet lag.
Early breakfast, transfer to Arusha airport (ARK) for a morning flight to Serengeti (North/West or Ndutu airstrips depending on which part we visit which depends on what time of the year); met on arrival and do game drive safari there.
More game drives safari in the Serengeti; this time in central Serengeti which is an area that is beautiful all year around. Game drives safari exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of the large predators and the gentle herbivores on which they feed.
Another game drive safari in the Serengeti; then drive to overnight in Ngorongoro with optional visit of Olduvai Gorge ($20/person), this history-changing archaeological site made famous by the Leakey family. We also have an optional visit to a masai village ($60/vehicle) to learn about their cultures and more.
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for game drives safari exploring the short-grass plains of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more games. At around 2pm we will leave the Crater for Lake Manyara for overnight there.
Morning game drive safari in Lake Manyara Park. The park is home to colorful birds, elephants, zebras, giraffe, hippos antelopes, and other animals. This morning we will drive to nearby Mto wa Mbu area (7kms from Manyara park’s gate) to do an approximately two hours cultural tour which will include visiting banana/rice plantations as well as walking safari with traditional healers who will explain the medicinal values of the indigenous plants. Later in the day, we will drive to Tarangire for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to park’s gate for game drive safari in the Tarangire Park; the park is renowned for its large elephant population and the baobab trees.
Another game drive safari in the Tarangire Park; then later in the day, we drive back to Arusha for a day room to freshen up before proceeding to JRO airport for your evening / night flight back home.
