“ The Home of Tree Climbing Lions”
The park derives its name from the plant called Euphorbia tirucalli , known as Emanyara in Masai Language. The parks covers an area of 648.7 km2.
The lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the ground water forest, the tree climbing lions, the soda lake inhabited with thousands of pink-hued flamingos, large water birds and troops of baboons and blue monkey, and the rift valley escarpment makes your visit to this area unforgettable.
Wildlife
The animals that are found in Lake Manyara Nationa Park includes elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, leopard, and occasionally cheetah and giraffe.
