Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. It is snow caped and world’s free standing volcano. It is comprises of two dormant volcanos ( Kibo 5895 m , and Mawenzi 5149m) respectively. The original of the world is not well known but it is said to be a combination of Swahili words Kilima meaning “Mountain” and the Kichaga word “Njaro”, loosely translated as “Whiteness”. Giving the name “ White Mountain”.
The park is endowed with diverse variety attractions ranging from terrestrial wilderness to permanent glaciers on the mountain peak.
Kilimanjaro National Park is endowed with various tourism activities that visitors can do during the visit. The activities includes Mountain climbing, Nature Walking Safaris (short walking safaris and long walking safaris), Paragliding , picnicking , Filming etc.
