Tanzania Safari Wonders

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Accommodation & Meals: Amani Safari Lodge B, B.

Upon your arrival at JRO, our representative will be there to greet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Take the evening to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha/ Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we leave with packed lunch and go for a game drive in Lake Manyara; The Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos and colorful birds, Alternative (instead of game drive safari in Manyara): After breakfast, we drive to nearby Mto wa Mbu area (4+ miles from Manyara Park’s gate) to do an approximately two hour cultural tour which will include visiting banana or rice plantations as well as a walking safari with traditional healers who will explain the medicinal values of the indigenous plants. We will leave in the afternoon and drive to overnight in Karatu.

Day 3: Karatu/ Serengeti

Estimated driving time: 4-5 hrs. Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Serengeti Pure Camp, B, L, D.

After breakfast leave Karatu with parked lunch and drive to an on-route game drive to Serengeti national park with optional ($60/group) visit of Maasai village, or optional ($36/person) visit to Olduvai Gorge. Afternoon game drives in Serengeti searching for the predators and the herbivores the feed on the Serengeti Savannah.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Immerse yourself in the unparalleled beauty of Serengeti National Park as we spend the day exploring its vast savannahs and observing the fascinating behaviors of its resident wildlife. From big cats to massive herds of wildebeest and zebras, the Serengeti offers unforgettable safari experiences. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Estimated driving time: 4-5 hrs. Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Serengeti Pure Camp, B, L, D.

Continue your exploration of the Serengeti with another full day of game drives. Follow the tracks of the Great Migration, and keep an eye out for predators on the prowl. With its diverse habitats and abundant wildlife, Serengeti never fails to impress. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation under the African sky.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park/ Ngorongoro

Estimated driving time: 3 hrs. Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Embalakai Tented Camp, B, L, D.

After breakfast, we will have another game drive in Serengeti, and then drive to overnight in Ngorongoro with an optional visit to a Masai Village ($60/vehicle), or optional visit of Olduvai Gorge ($36/person).

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater/ Karatu

After breakfast, we leave with picnic lunch and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater exploring the short grass plains of the largest intact caldera in the world. The crater enjoys its enduring charm stems from the overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lions, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many games, then later in the late afternoon leaves the crater and drive back to overnight in Karatu.

Day 8: Karatu/Tarangire/Arusha

Estimated driving distance: 2 hrs drive Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Amani Safari Lodge B, B.

After breakfast, journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population. Enjoy game drives in the park before returning to Arusha in the afternoon.

Later in the afternoon, drive back to overnight in Arusha.
